SUKKUR: Police have arrested six persons accused of impersonating Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) officials along with weapons and vehicles during snap-checking at Sukkur-Shikarpur Highway.
The Shikarpur police on Friday identified six accused as Peer Asif, an elected councilor, Ghulam Mustafa Mangrio, Anwaruddin Mangrio, Qasim Sahto, Nisar Ahmed Qaimkhani and Rafique Ahmed Mangrio.
The accused were going from Sukkur to Jacobabad when police nabbed them and recovered one Kalashnikov, two TT pistols and two vehicles, in which they were travelling, with government number plates.
SSP Shikarpur Nasir Aftab said that the arrested persons were on their “mission” to get money from the people by involving them in forged cases.
