RAWALPINDI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer Senator Siraj-ul-Haq said he was confident that the JI’s drive against corruption would achieve its goal and the public money plundered by the corrupt would be recovered. He was addressing a Students Rights convention organized by the Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba, at Liaqat Bagh, Rawalpindi on Wednesday. Siraj-ul-Haq said the government in the country was only in name as the ministers and advisors were afraid that the system could collapse any moment. He said that he wanted the government to continue for a few days more but the ruling party men desired to attain political martyrdom so that they could deceive the masses once again. He said that he was confident that the JI drive against corruption would achieve its goal and the public money plundered by the corrupt would be recovered. He said that till now one had been hearing of the sheep and goat been stolen but now an airplane of the country had gone missing and had later been traced. The JI chief said that a uniform education system all over the country was the need of the hour to promote national cohesion and unity. He said that the rulers had divided the masses on linguistic, regional and sectarian grounds only to remain in power.
